What worry can do to you

Worry makes you tense and nervous and affects the nerves of your stomach and actually changes the gastric juices of your stomach from normal to abnormal and often leads to stomach ulcers.Worry can make even solid person ill. It can put you into wheelchair with rheumatism and arthritis.

Worry can even cause tooth decay. Unpleasant emotions such as those caused by worry, fear , nagging, may upset the body's calcium balance and cause tooth decay. Worry can even destroy the looks of women. It may turn the hair grey and in some cases even make it fall out. It can ruin the complexion- it can bring on all kinds of skin rashes, eruptions and pimples.

When you are worried, your emotions are riding high. Such emotions are so violent that they tend to drive out of our minds all happy and peaceful thoughts. It becomes hard to preserve the sanity. You lose many irreplaceable hours brooding over grievances, You allow yourselves to be upset by small things which you should despise and forget.

Its all mind game

The good thing is 99% of things you worry about never happens. Nearly all of worries and unhappiness come from imagination and not from reality. You are going to meet a lot of unpleasant situations in your life for which you have to make a choice. You can either accept them and adjust yourselves to them or you can ruin your lives with rebellion and may be end up with a nervous breakdown.

Circumstances alone do not make you happy or unhappy, it is the way you react to these circumstances that determine your feelings. Your life is what your thoughts make it. If you think happy thoughts,you will be happy. If you think miserable thoughts, you will feel miserable. You can transform your lives just by changing your thoughts. Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Your peace of mind and joy you get out of living depends not on where you are or what you have or who you are but solely upon your mental attitude. No one can humiliate or disturb you unless you let him.

Keep yourself busy. When we are not busy, our minds tend to become a near vacuum. It is difficult to worry while you are busy doing something that requires planning and thinking.

Think and Thank. Think of all we have to be grateful for and thank God for all our boons and bounties. Develop a habit of looking on the best side of every event. Count your blessings.

You are something new in this world. Never before has there ever been anybody exactly like you and never again throughout all the ages to come will there ever be anybody exactly like you again. Let's not imitate others. Let's find ourselves and be ourselves.

Doing good to others is not a duty. It is a joy that increases your own health and happiness. When you are good to others, you are best to yourself.

Rest before you get tired.Rest is not a matter of doing absolutely nothing, it is repair. Relaxation is the absence of all tension and efforts.

Banish boredom 

A man can succeed at almost anything for which he has enthusiasm. We rarely get tired when we are doing something interesting and exciting. Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment. By talking to yourself,  you can direct yourself to think thoughts of courage and happiness, thoughts of power and peace.

Cure Insomnia 

One of the best cures for insomnia is making yourself physically tired. If we get tired enough, nature will force us to sleep even while we are walking.
